Curiosity Club

Curiosity Club is our once-weekly outdoor program for homeschooled children ages 5–9 and 10–13. Sessions are project-based and rooted in hands-on exploration across our forest, field, and creek campus. Guided by seasonal rhythms and led by each child’s curiosity, this is a space where learning happens through real, hands-on experiences, collaboration, and time spent in the natural world.

Middle School Group

- Ages 10-13
- Mondays 12pm - 3pm, begins April 6th
- Tuition: $160/month

For our middle school age learners, Curiosity Club offers extended time and deeper immersion through three-hour sessions designed to support growing independence, skill-building, and meaningful project work. Students explore traditional crafts and practical outdoor skills such as nature weaving, basket making, flower pressing, leather work, working with wild clay, and creating natural pigments and dyes. They also begin learning foundational competencies like fire safety, outdoor cooking, and collaborative project planning.

This group is invited into longer creative processes that require patience, problem-solving, and care - encouraging confidence in their hands, their ideas, and their ability to work both independently and within a community. Projects evolve with the seasons and the interests of the group, allowing space for curiosity to lead while steadily developing real-world skills and a strong connection to the natural environment.

Elementary Group

- Ages 5-9
- Mondays 9am - 11am, begins April 6th
- Tuition: $120/month

For our elementary age learners, Curiosity Club offers a gentle but rich introduction to project-based learning in the outdoors. Each week, children engage in hands-on explorations that nurture creativity, practical skills, and a deep relationship with place. Projects may include creating story stones for imaginative storytelling, nature weaving with found fibers, learning foundational knots and rope work, designing nature mandalas, and experimenting with natural pigments and plant-based dyes.

Activities are open-ended and process-focused, allowing children to move at their own pace while building confidence, collaboration skills, and creative problem-solving. These projects are simply starting points as our curriculum evolves with the seasons, the landscape, and the curiosity the children bring with them each week.
